Patient Care Operations

  • Define and design the policies, procedures, and staffing across all service lines, emphasizing high quality care, utilization, and wellness
  • Collaborating with service line directors to improve processes for ED Hospitalists, MTA, BMT/Oncology, and PCDC
  • Developing DHM guidelines for handoffs and service transitions
  • Retooling the Medicine Consult rotation to function without residents
  • Preparing for the DHM transition from manual scheduling to the use of scheduling software
  • Planning staffing and processes for new services lines–Transplant Nephrology and Cardiology–for the ’24-’25 academic year
  • Partnering with BJH leadership on key initiatives such as use of Throughput Coordinators, high census planning, and unit renovations
  • Building out a DHM SharePoint site to house service line guidelines, DHM policies, and recent announcements
