The Hospitalist Service provides inpatient care for newly diagnosed and established patients of the Division of Oncology, Section of Stem Cell Transplantation and Leukemia at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

The hospitalists are board-certified or board-eligible physicians of Washington University School of Medicine. They work in collaboration and co-manage with the Bone Marrow Transplant Hematologist/Oncologists.

The hospitalists will work in multi-disciplinary teams consisting of hospitalists, hematologist/oncologists, nurse practitioners, inpatient coordinators, research study coordinators, dieticians, case managers, and social workers.

In addition to treating general internal medicine needs of this unique patient population, physicians will also gain experience in treating patients enrolled in clinical trials, receiving stem cell transplantations, and immune and cellular therapies.
