The POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasound) Journal is a free, open-access, peer-reviewed publication featuring original research, case reports, and protocols on point-of-care ultrasound. Published by CINQUILL Medical Publishers Inc., the journal releases issues online twice a year in April and November. They receive submissions from clinicians, researchers, and educators in the field of POCUS.

Editor-in-Chief Benjamin Galen, MD, reached out to several of the division’s hospitalists to inform them of the journal’s decision to accept their submission for publication. The submission is titled, “Demonstrating Feasibility of POCUS-Guided Inpatient Transthoracic Echo Decision Pathway.” Physicians from both the Division of Hospital Medicine, and other divisions in the Department of Medicine contributed to the article. The physicians from the Division of Hospital Medicine (or previously in the division) include Crystal Atwood, MD, Stephaine Conner, MD, Carol Faulk, MD, Maya Fiore, Benjamin Hoemann, MD, and Mohamad Ramadan, MD. Other contributors include Nicholas Arnold, MD, Mustafa Husaini, MD, Farhan Katchi, MD, Jing Li, MD, PhD, and Karl Wallenkampf, MD.

The article will move on to the editing stage and be added to the journal in upcoming months. We look forward to reading and sharing it once it is published. Congratulations to all involved!
