Catherine Finneran, MD, MPH, is an Instructor in Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine. Prior to joining the Division, Dr. Finneran worked in public health research and programming in the Southeastern United States, where she contributed to projects addressing the HIV/AIDS epidemic among sexual minorities and gender-diverse persons. A passionate researcher, her area of interest comprises ways in structural violence and oppression impact persons most at risk for health care disparities. Her work also focuses on graduate medical education of intern and resident physicians, with a special interest in infectious diseases, antibiotic management, and early identification and treatment of sepsis.
