Dr. Alyssa Renee Moller joined the Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine as an Instructor in July 2021. She was born in Los Angeles, California and moved to the Chicago area shortly thereafter, where she spent the remainder of her childhood. She attended college at Washington University in St. Louis and graduated with College Honors in 2011, with dual majors in biology and physics and a minor in Spanish. While she was an undergraduate student, she gave back to the local St. Louis community by volunteer interpreting at a local Spanish language outpatient medical clinic. She received her medical degree in 2015 from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Moller completed internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts in 2018. After residency, she remained in Boston and began a career as an academic hospitalist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She is a Midwesterner at heart, and moved back to St. Louis in 2021 after 10 years away. She enjoys teaching and working with both medical students and residents, and she looks forward to continuing this. Aside from medical education, her current academic interests include care of non-English speaking patients and general inpatient medicine. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys international travel, baking, spending time outdoors and visiting with friends and family. She looks forward to providing care for her patients as a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine.
