The Society of Hospital Medicine is the ‘home of hospitalists,’ where hospitalists from all over the United States come together to share information, advocate for the hospitalist specialty, improve patient care, and advance research. The Division of Hospital Medicine has been highly involved in our local SHM branch. We have also made a point of participating in yearly conferences and other opportunities to network among other hospitalists and enhance professional development. SHM has a highly successful newsletter entitled ‘The Hospitalist’. Recently, several of our faculty members had an article that was featured in ‘The Hospitalist’.
