Several Patients Share Positive Feedback about Hospitalists

The Patient Experience Team at Barnes-Jewish Hospital reaches out to patients after they are discharged from the hospital to inquire about their experience with the providers that worked with them during their stay. In March and April of 2025, a number of patients reported excellent care from hospitalists.

Saleh Alhalaseh, MD, was recognized by his patient who shared that he was a very good doctor. Suzanne Furesz, MD, was also acknowledged by her patient, who expressed, “I had a lot of respect for my doctor- Dr. Furesz. She did a great job of ruling out all the things that it couldn’t be and then helped me connect with someone from the OB department for long-term care to narrow down what it could be. The team did an excellent job taking care of me.”

In addition, Katherine Goodenberger, MD, received positive comments from her patient, who shared, “She was excellent. She stayed on top of making sure anyone who needed to see me had seen me.”

Nathan Neilson, MD

I was over three hours away from home. It was like they knew I was scared and everything. So, they took their time to sit with me and explain it all.”

Brandon Parker, MD

Doctors Nathan Neilson and Brandon Parker were mentioned by their patient as well. The patient expressed that “their care and the way they explained things was outstanding,” adding, “I’ve worked in the medical field, and I knew a lot of what they were talking about. But they still took their time to explain. I was over three hours away from home…It was like they knew I was scared and everything. So, they took their time to sit with me and explain it all.”

Thank you to our providers for always prioritizing patient-centered care.
