Yaman Mkhaimer, MD

Dr. Yaman Mkhaimer joined the Division of Hospital Medicine as an Instructor in Medicine in July 2024. He was born and raised in Amman, Jordan, where he received his medical degree at the Hashemite University of Jordan in 2016. In 2020, he moved to Minnesota to join the Mayo Clinic Nephrology and Hypertension Department as a research associate to further his interest in clinical research. Shortly after, he joined the University of Missouri Kansas City, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency prior to joining the division in 2024. Dr. Mkhaimer developed a compelling interest in the cardiology and heart failure fields, immersing himself in research studies with a particular focus on quality and outpatient follow-up improvement. He was even provided the opportunity to present several papers at the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association conferences.
