Sopiko Gogia, MD, joined the Department of Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine as an Instructor in July 2025. Gogia earned her medical degree from the American MD Program at Tbilisi State Medical University in 2020. After graduation, she worked as a junior doctor and clinical trial coordinator at the Cancer Research Center (K. Mardaleishvili Clinic) in Tbilisi. She later became a resident physician in the Medical Oncology Program. Gogia moved to the U.S. in 2022 and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Ascension Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, before joining the Division of Hospital Medicine at WashU Medicine. Her key interests include hospital medicine with a particular interest in hematology and oncology. Her other interests are patient safety, quality improvement, and point-of-care ultrasound. She also enjoys teaching and working with medical students and residents.
