Majd Mokbel, MD joined the Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine as an Instructor in July 2025, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hospital Medicine. He started his journey at the University of Michigan Dearborn for his undergraduate studies, graduating with a double major in biochemistry and Spanish. Following graduation, Mokbel served in AmeriCorps City Year, working in a 6th grade math classroom in inner-city Detroit. Afterwards, Mokbel attended the University of Michigan Medical School, graduating in 2021. Throughout medical school, he helped lead the Project H community clinic which served unhoused individuals in the Detroit area, and the Medical Students of Middle Eastern Descent student group. In 2025, he completed his residency in combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics at the University of Michigan where he led various refugee health initiatives. His continued clinical interests are in refugee health, medical education, and pediatric to adult care transitions.
