Ali Abdelhay, MD, joined the Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine as an Instructor in July 2025. Originally from Jordan, he earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan Faculty of Medicine in 2019. He later completed his internal medicine residency at Rochester General Hospital, where he also served as Chief Medical Resident. Prior to residency, Dr. Abdelhay gained clinical experience as a medicine intern at Shmaisani Hospital and as a resident at the King Hussein Cancer Center in Amman, Jordan, where he cared for patients with complex oncologic and hematologic conditions. During his training, he developed a strong interest in hematology, clinical epidemiology, and patient-centered inpatient care. He is passionate about improving patient outcomes through both bedside teaching and rigorous clinical research.
