Adebisi Adejola, MBBS

Instructor in Medicine

Dr. Adebisi Adejola joined Hospital Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine as an Instructor in 2026. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, he developed an early interest in medicine and service, which guided his academic and professional journey. He received his medical degree (MBBS) from Lagos State University College of Medicine. During medical school, he was recognized for his achievements and leadership potential and was awarded several scholarships including Chevron/Agbami and Lagos State scholarships. Dr. Adejola subsequently completed his Internal Medicine residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri, where he served as a Chief Resident. He worked closely with residency leadership to support curriculum development, promote resident wellness, and foster a collaborative learning environment. During residency, Dr. Adejola was an active member of the St. Luke’s quality improvement and medication reconciliation committees, contributing to initiatives aimed at improving patient safety, care transitions, and inpatient outcomes. He has a strong interest in medical education and inpatient team-based care and enjoys working closely with medical students and residents in the clinical learning environment to support their professional growth.
