The Patient Experience Team at Barnes-Jewish Hospital gathers feedback from patients after their discharge about their time at the hospital. In November 2024, three hospitalists were mentioned by patients, citing their exemplary care. Dr. Jaspur Coleman’s patient expressed, “The doctors who cared for me were outstanding- Dr. Coleman, Dr. Vorster, and Dr. Zenger. They were informative and told me what may or may not work and what they may try. Their communication to me and the nurses was great and I felt like they paid attention to my concerns.”

“There are three doctors I want to recognize for being outstanding- Dr. Ancha, Dr. Renz, and Dr. Osman. I appreciated their level of knowledge of what I was being treated for. It just made me feel comfortable that they knew how to handle it. Their level of expertise stood out to me.”

Dr. Matthew Freer was also recognized by his patient, who stated, “I want to recognize my doctors- Dr. Freer and Dr. Marshall. They helped me understand everything that they had done for me and let me know about all the findings which was great. They also talked to the social worker to give me resource papers of when I got out to help me with housing.”

Dr. Ali Osman’s patient said, “There are three doctors I want to recognize for being outstanding- Dr. Ancha, Dr. Renz, and Dr. Osman. I appreciated their level of knowledge of what I was being treated for. It just made me feel comfortable that they knew how to handle it. Their level of expertise stood out to me.”
