Margo Girardi, MD, SHFM, was recently appointed for the 2024-2025 National SHM Practice Management committee. She will meet with her new committee for the first time during the National Meeting in San Diego this April.
SHM Practice Management is responsible for providing non-clinical resources to the membership business aspects of hospital medicine and the management of hospital medicine groups. Projects include: the State of Hospital Medicine Report, the Practice Management Webinar Series, and resources to address well-being and burnout, clinical documentation, program administration, and more.
Of this appointment, Margo stated, “I am thrilled and very humbled by my appointment among a pool of highly qualified hospitalist candidates. I am very much looking forward to using my expertise cultivated here at Washington University to contribute to SHM’s mission and goals on the national stage.”
