Congratulations to Kieran Patel, MD, on his promotion to Assistant Professor of Medicine effective January 1, 2026.
Kieran Patel, MD, joined Hospital Medicine in 2023, after previously serving as Chief Resident in the Internal Medicine Residency Program. In his current role, Dr. Patel is the Co-director of Education for Learners within the Division and also the Co-director of the Gateway Medicine Conference task force. He remains actively engaged in the Division’s Education and Faculty Development Committees. His diverse responsibilities include working with the General Medicine Inpatient teaching service, the Procedure team, and in Hospitalist Direct Care. Additionally, Dr. Patel is part of the Core Faculty in the Internal Medicine Residency Program and assists as Co-director of Coaching and Remediation. His professional interests lie in medical education, mentorship, and clinical operations.
