Healthcare Excellence in Hospital Medicine

The Patient Experience Team at Barnes-Jewish Hospital distributes awards annually to providers with exceptional patient experience scores. In 2025, providers across Barnes-Jewish Hospital received 301 Healthcare Excellence Awards. Out of the 301 providers, 164 scored above the 75th percentile, including 15 hospitalists.

The Honor Roll is awarded to doctors who met the performance criteria for the award category but did not meet the minimum survey requirement. Congratulations to Dr. Tracey Godbold, MD, for receiving two highly prestigious awards. Firstly, Dr. Godbold was honored with the FourStar Award, given to providers who rank in the top 25% nationally for “Excellent” patient responses. Additionally, Dr. Godbold received the Patient Experience CONNECT Award, created in 2024 to recognize non-nursing team members who excel in providing compassionate care and service. As the first hospitalist to receive the CONNECT Award, Dr. Godbold has made a remarkable impact on the lives of her patients and their families.
