Excellent Patient Experience Recognition from March, April, and May of 2024

The Patient Experience Team at Barnes-Jewish Hospital prioritizes reaching out to patients after their discharge to gather feedback on their care during their stay. They are also asked to mention any individuals by name who made a significant impact on their experience. A number of hospitalists have received excellent patient experience recognition reports from March, April and May of 2024.

Dr. Jordan Atkins patient expressed, “Dr. Atkins was outstanding. He helped me make a difficult decision and gave me the information I needed.” One of Dr. Anthony Dao’s patients also had a positive experience, stating, “I want to recognize my doctor, Dr. Tony Dao. He took time explaining things to me in a way that I could understand.” Dr. Vivek Hansalia was mentioned by his patient as well, who shared, “I want to recognize the hospitalist, Dr. Vivek Hansalia, for taking great care of me while I was in the hospital for complications of my cancer.” In addition, Dr. Austin Niu was recognized by his patient, who said, “I want to recognize one of my doctors- he was very good and explained everything carefully to me.”
