The first-ever WUSM Specialty Choice Fair took place on April 17, 2024. The WUSM Career Advising Office organized the event and invited all departments to host a table to spotlight their specialty. All WUSM students were invited to mingle and seek advice around which specialty is their “right fit.”
Eileen Lee, MD, and Randy Laine, MD, hosted the Division of Hospital Medicine table. They were able to meet some first- and second-year students and give them more information about hospital medicine. Most of the students had not heard a lot about hospital medicine and had lots of questions. They were also given a handout to take home and learn more information about hospitalists. Thanks to Dr. Lee and Dr. Laine for participating, and we look forward to hosting a table again next year!
