Devin Odom, MD, Receives ‘Golden Global’ Teaching Award

Devin Odom, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine within the Divisions of Hospital Medicine and Palliative Medicine at WashU. Dr. Odom has dedicated his career to enhancing communication skills education beyond residency training. He established and oversees the BJC Communication Skills Academy, which offers experiential learning opportunities for providers across the School of Medicine and BJC. This program allows them to practice difficult conversations and Advance Care Planning in a supportive small group setting.

In March of 2025, Dr. Devin Odom was recognized by Medicine ACR Co-Directors Carol Faulk, MD, and Ian Ross, MD, for the time he spent teaching and assessing students rotating on the medicine ACR with the “Golden Global” award. Congratulations to Dr. Odom, and thank you for your excellent and timely assessment during Block 1.
