Each year, there is a national teaching competition between several schools, including Emory, Hopkins, University of Colorado, and VUMC. This year, Dennis Chang, MD, decided to help the Division of Hospital Medicine participate! We held our internal teaching competition on April 18, 2024. Each competitor chose a topic to speak on for eight minutes or less. They were judged on their design, content, and delivery, and their goal was to demonstrate their outstanding teaching skills. Our three competitors were Carol Faulk, MD, Eileen Lee, MD, and Tracey Godbold, MD. Our three judges were Stephanie Conner, MD, Abby Spencer, MD, and Nichole Zehnder, MD.
Everyone did a wonderful job, and it was a close competition. Dr. Eileen Lee was chosen as the winner! She will be moving on to represent the division at the national competition on May 7, 2024. Congratulations to Eileen, and we look forward to cheering her on on May 7.
