Society of Hospital Medicine St. Louis Chapter annual poster meeting was held on Thursday, November 9th, at Scape American Bistro. Hospitalist, Dr. Andrew Odden, Assistant Professor of Medicine, presented “Sepsis Guidelines”. Over 60 attendees helped celebrate SHM St. Louis Chapter’s seventh anniversary.
A poster session was showcased prior to the meeting. Posters that exhibit a case vignette, clinical research, or a quality initiative that pertained to hospital medicine were displayed for viewing.
The SHM St. Louis Chapter encourages all residents and students to participate in the upcoming Research, Innovations, and Clinical Vignettes (RIV) competition taking place at the Society of Hospital Medicine’s Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. Two Scholarship Award Recipients will receive $1,000 towards:
- One-year SHM Membership
- Complimentary Registration to attend HM18
- Poster Printing Expenses
- Airfare and Hotel Accommodations
