Congratulations to hospitalist and long-time passionate educator, Anthony Dao, MD, on being selected to receive the Rising Star Award from the WashU Medicine Academy of Educators. Only two other WashU Medicine faculty were selected from a large pool of incredibly talented educators.
Dr. Dao has joined the Division of Hospital Medicine after completing his Internal Medicine Residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/WashU School of Medicine in 2019. As the director of OUTmed, an organization that advocates for community and belonging, Dr. Dao has a passion for creating inclusive environments for everyone from faculty to trainees, residents, students and staff. He is an associate director of the IM Residency program, where he collaborates closely with residents to provide educational opportunities. His favorite part of his job is the work he does with the internal medicine residents, which is evident in his outstanding teaching and mentorship.
