Holly Perry, NP, Han Li, MD, and Brenna Zack, NP, wrote an abstract for the SHM Conference in April and were recently accepted to present! The upcoming conference will be a milestone for the DHM, as it will be the first time we have APCs attending and the first occasion where our APCs have had a poster accepted.
The idea for the abstract came about when they had a patient on their hybrid team that they diagnosed with IgA vasculitis but, he had a lot of SDOH factors that impacted their ability to figure out what was going on and delayed their diagnosis. The abstract is about how SDOH can significantly impact patient care. We look forward to them to representing our Division at the conference and are enthusiastic to hear more about their research.
