Medical Director of Patient Experience, and hospitalist Patricia Litkowski, MD, works closely with Heather Lazarides, Director of Patient Experience for BJH, and Roma Bordewick, Executive Director of Patient Care Services Operations, to collect feedback from patients post-discharge. This valuable feedback allows patients to share any individuals who made a significant impact on their hospital stay. In May and June of 2025, five hospitalists were acknowledged for their outstanding care.
Eric Johnson, MD, was praised by two of his patients, who described him as “outstanding” and “amazing…very thorough.” Dr. Danielle Kubicki’s patient also stated that she was “truly outstanding,” adding, “I thought she went above and beyond.”
“They treated me with such respect. They cared for me like a human being instead of treating me like a number…My doctor, Dr. Quinley, was so good with me. She would come and hold my hand while doing her checking in on me. And then like I said, she actually took me outside. No one even offered to do that except for her.“
Dr. Patricia Quinley’s patient had a positive experience with her care team overall, as well as with Dr. Quinley specifically. They said, “They treated me with such respect. They cared for me like a human being instead of just treating me like a number. That’s how I feel.” Her patient also shared an experience with Dr. Quinley that deeply affected her, saying, “My doctor, Dr. Quinley, was so good to me. She would come and hold my hand while checking in on me. And then, like I said, she actually took me outside. No one else even offered to do that except for her. She took me out there for 45 minutes. It wasn’t just a quick in-and-out. She sat out there with me and we just talked away.”
Leanna Smothers’ patient stated, “I wanted to recognize the PA who cared for me—Leanna Smothers. She was good at communicating with me, truly excellent.”
