The teacher of the year award for inpatient medicine is an award selected by the Internal Medicine residents. All internal medicine residents are invited to submit names of the top teachers on inpatient medicine from the attendings in the Divisions of General Medicine and Hospital Medicine. The two attendings who receive the most nominations win the award. The awards are presented each year at the Senior Celebration.
Congratulations to Eric Johnson, MD and Marty Kerrigan, MD on receiving the Inpatient FIRM Internal Medicine Teachers of the Year Award! Dr. Johnson has been a recipient of the award four times and this is the first for Dr. Kerrigan.
“I am deeply honored to have received this award. It is simultaneously both gratifying and humbling to know that I have contributed in some capacity to the personal and intellectual development of physicians who will be shaping the future of medicine.”
