Dr. FNU Meena joined the Division of Hospital Medicine as an Instructor in Medicine in September 2024. She was born and raised in Hyderabad, Pakistan, and received her medical education at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, Pakistan. After graduation from medical school in January 2014, she did one year of required training at Liaquat University Hospital and then worked as a medical officer for two years near her hometown before moving to the United States to pursue further training. Dr. Meena received her internal medicine residency training at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York. As a resident, she enjoyed teaching medical students and residents. She also participated in the development and implementation of quality improvement (QI) for improving interprofessional workflow in inpatient medicine during her residency training. She finds great satisfaction in the complexities and nuances of hospital medicine, with a particular passion for high-value care and medical education.
